Special Olympics athletes in Arizona are individuals with a passion for living life to the fullest and achieving their personal best both in sport and life.   Special Olympics athletes learn incredible life lessons both on and off the playing fields and have a blast competing with each other. 

Best of all, Special Olympics sports training and competition opportunities are offered free of charge to eligible individuals wishing to join.  This is possible due to the generosity of in-kind contributors and support of sponsors & donors throughout the state.  

Becoming an athlete will exercise your muscles… it will strengthen your heart muscle and your smile muscles. If you are a person with special needs who is looking for a fun athletic opportunity, we can exercise your entire spirit. 

When you participate in Special Olympics sports training you will have the chance to run hard, jump hard and laugh hard.   You will have opportunities to make new friends, learn new skills and discover your independence.   From the moment you hit the playing field you will experience teamwork and your own unique accomplishments.
