Special Olympics USA National Team will play against Poland, Serbia, and Germany in a Special Olympics Unified Volleyball competition.
Starting August 27, 2014, a Special Olympics Unified Volleyball Tournament will occur prior to the 2014 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship to be held in Warsaw, Poland from August 30th until September 21st, 2014. Special Olympics Unified Volleyball teams from 4 countries representing: Poland, Serbia, Germany and United States will play in 3 days of competition. Special Olympics athletes from around the state of Arizona have been selected to join the only volleyball team to represent the United States. A total of 12 athletes, 2 assistant coaches and 3 head coaches have been chosen to play hard, play fair and do their best to represent the United States at the 2014 Special Olympics Unified Volleyball Tournament
All the Athletes and Unified Partners will get to meet and talk to ambassadors, legends and FIVB federation's representives as well as attend the FIVB World Championship Opening match of Poland vs. Serbia at the National Stadium in Warsaw on August 30th in the sold out stadium of 60,000.
