Special Olympics World Games have grown to become one of the world's leading athletic events, celebrating the achievements of Special Olympics athletes from around the globe.

Every two years, thousands of Special Olympics athletes from six continents come together to showcase their athletic skills and bring the spirit of the Special Olympics organization to life. Alternating between Summer and Winter Games, Special Olympics World Games feature intense athletic competition and inspiring performances from talented Special Olympics athletes from across the globe.

As with all Special Olympics events, Special Olympics World Games are offered free of charge to all selected athletes thanks to the generous support of our Special Olympics friends and corporate sponsors.
