Bob Wainman, Games Management Team Member...

Bob Wainman is an inspirational volunteer as well as the “go to” man for all events that Special Olympics Arizona conducts. This past Fall Games, Bob was the Venue Director for the Bocce competition, however, Bob has been a core volunteer with the Maricopa area of Special Olympics for the past 17 years. The list of events that this true gentleman has assisted with is too long to list, however, this year alone Bob has volunteered his time and efforts for the FBR Open, Summer Games, Holiday Classic, Winter Games and Basketball competitions.

Through Bob’s volunteer efforts, there are never any “small details” overlooked.  If there is a truck to deliver, an event to be set-up or torn down, Bob can be called and is always there for the athletes and staff of SOAZ.  Perhaps more than anything else, his relationship with the athletes is what brings Bob back year after year.

Bob is a true model of a Special Olympics volunteer in every form of the word. We thank Bob from the bottom of our hearts for his volunteer efforts and for being there whenever we call.
